As year 11 GCSE exams have now begun we have decided that it would be more beneficial for year 11 students to continue with their revision programme mainly at home. So as from Monday 21 May year 11 will only be required to come to school for their examinations and the revision lessons that we have put on for them. Most of the revision sessions will take place just before the examination and are excellent preparation for that exam. Students have already received an examination timetable and the timings of the revision sessions are shown below. If students wish to remain in school after an examination or a revision session then there will be a private study room available for them to work in.
Please see attached letter for more information, together with the in- school revision dates and times.

New name for the new all through school

Work is underway with governors and staff from both Rhyn Park and Ifton Heath on the all through school. Thank you to those parents who responded with feedback about what the all through school should be like when it becomes a reality in September 2012. These points have been forwarded on to the Joint Strategic Committee which is made up of staff and governors from both schools.
One of the items to be discussed is the name of the all through school.
We would like to have any of your suggestions for consideration; these could be names associated with the village and surrounding areas, perhaps the name of an important historical person or event.
Suggestions need to be in by Friday 20 April either via e mail to ellis.c1@shropshirelg.net, via the school website blog, or sent in with your child. This is a great opportunity for the community to start shaping the process.

Hello and welcome to the brand new website of Rhyn Park School and Performing Arts College. This post takes a look at what’s new, how to get around the site and what to expect.
Unlike the old rhynpark.org website, the new site has a blog which will be updated regularly with news from the school’s pupils, staff and governors to keep you up to date.
You might like to start by reading the welcome message from the Acting Head, Mr Nigel Keates. You can find it by going to the ‘About‘ tab in the navigation bar at the top of this page, or by clicking here.
On our photo gallery page you’ll find pictures of the latest goings on in and around the school, and it will be updated regularly.
If you need to get in touch with the school, go to the contact page by hovering over ‘About’ in the navigation bar and then clicking ‘Contact’. Alternatively, you can click here.
If you want to learn more about the subjects taught at Rhyn Park School, you’ll find what you’re looking for in the Curriculum and subjects sections.
The facilities page and all the pages it links to show you what the school has to offer pupils, from its specialist classrooms to The Hub and the well resourced library.
If you’re a parent of a Rhyn Park pupil, or you are thinking about having your child attend the school, there’s a special section of the website for you, containing all the information you’ll need – like how pupils are encouraged to ‘Look Smart, work smart‘.
Remember, if you have any questions about the school or about how to use the site, you can get in touch in many different ways using the contact page.
We hope you enjoy the site and continue to use it as we continue to update and improve it.
